Tenuta Le Volpaie II
This magnificent farmhouse traces its construction
back to the beginning of the last century.
Undoubtedly, the builders of this home were struck by the natural
beauty of the area and the commanding view that the structure would
offer.
Beautiful valleys flank it on both sides and San Gimignano can be
admired before it in the distance. In those years the valleys were
full of much more wildlife than there is today; in particular, there
was a large population of foxes.
From their presence comes the name "Le Volpaie"
('fox' in Italian is 'volpe').
